Chapter 581: Thieves in the night
In the night, at three o’clock, while many inhabitants of the capital slept weaving beautiful dreams and a few nightmares, five long military trucks that were often used for transporting weapons and soldiers transported precious cargo at the moment. The trucks had left the capital base and passed by the storage houses of the ministry of agriculture before setting off.
It was assumed that nobody knew what was in the trucks and they would not be stopped or searched because they had a special permit.
The drivers of the trucks who were soldiers, fully dressed in uniforms kept in constant communication through their radios, which is why word quickly spread when the first truck which was leading others at the front run into an obstacle.
"Captain, there is a dog standing in the middle of the road, how do we proceed?" the soldier driving the fist truck asked through his radio.
The captain, who was leading the mission was in the very last truck which some of the soldiers found abnormal because the leader of a special mission like this one always sat in the front.
"Stay inside the truck, run the dog over if you must." the captain replied.
"Isn’t that too cruel." the driver asked.
"Our mission is more important." the captain answered. "Why would a dog be standing in the middle of the road at this time of the night? And this road was cleared for us...."
The captain was still talking when suddenly something banged against the trucks.
