Chapter 547: The plot thickens
While she was off to have fun and adventure, others were meeting to plot in secret. The one thing two of the plotters had in common besides their family ties was their hatred for Chi Lian. Four people were meeting, two women and two men. Of all places to meet and plot, they chose the safest one in the empire, the royal place. After all, who would dare to eavesdrop on a conversation in the emperor’s Palace?
They forgot however, that the peep star could be everywhere and they would never know.
In order to ensure secrecy, the crown princess had thrown a fit which sent all of her maids running for the hills.
Now, alone in her private quarters, she sat with her most vicious cousin Yan Daya, her cousin Yan Fei and her uncle Yan Moon.
The most laughable detail about this meeting was the fact that all three of them were drinking tea from Juan tea shop. After all the fuss the crown princess made about Da Hong Pao and it’s precious value, she was hypocritically enjoying a cup of honey grape fruit tea from Chi Lian’s shop.
Yan Daya had been feeling uneasy from the moment they met, she could not help shaking off the feeling that someone was watching them. Then again, the crown princess had been a constant face on the peep star’s weibo in the previous months so it was not abnormal for her to be wary.
"Are you sure that everyone is gone?" She asked the crown princess. She did not stop at questioning her, Yan Daya stood up and used a frequency monitoring device to scan the room for any hidden cameras and bugs.
"I did all that just before you arrived, relax, nobody is watching us. I found the peep star’s hidden camera last week and crushed it like a bug." The princess assured Yan Daya, looking mighty pleased with herself.
If Chi Lian was watching she would be laughing at the arrogance of the crown princess. Of course she found a hidden camera, it had been deliberately placed there for her to find and boost her confidence in order to make her lips looser because she had been speaking in too much code lately. Whatever they were plotting, Chi Lian had a feeling they were coming close to it.
Yan Daya gave her cousin a minimising look and she cursed. "Shit!!! You shit head, that camera could have led us to the true identity of the peep star. We have all the means of tracing the camera back to where it was purchased from. Must I teach you everything? This is why we are so close and yet so far from our goal. It’s because the family sent a fool like you here."
"Calm down Daya," Yan Moon, their uncle said. "You had every opportunity to become the crown princess but you turned it down."
"Because she thought she would be marrying the great Jun Muyang but look at her now, still single and almost thirty. You have become a bitter old maid cousin." The crown princess saw an opportunity to take a jab at Yan Daya, one that would hit were it hurt the most and she took it.
