It was obvious to anyone with eyes that the oval shaped crown of blue and red, with a mixture of pearls, gems and golden small dragons on the edges which were holding more flowing pearls in their claws.
"Here," Chi Lian saw those big brown eyes of her daughter becoming teary again and she gave her the black night luminescent pearl which had been siting in her virtual storage all this time. "Play with that beautiful pearl, isn’t it pretty?"
"Pretty." Mei-Mei nodded.
The old madam in the mean time enlisted the help of the maids and they started unpacking the dresses from the chests, arranging them in proper order. Just as it was with Chi Lian, a few sneezes here and there could not be avoided.
"Nobody should sneeze on the dresses." the old madam warned the maids, even though she too was sneezing.
"Here," Chi Lian handed them face masks.
"Good Lord, what is not available in your purse?" the old madam asked her in wonder. "No wonder your daughter thinks it’s a magic bag, you carry everything it seems."
"I opened the chests before and it caused me to sneeze so I bought a few masks before returning." Chi Lian lied.
The old master returned as they were folding the dresses, Muchen and Cherry returned with him.
"Wife, look who decided to return home with his wife." The old master was about to mention Muchen’s name when he saw the things in the middle of the living room. "Sweet merciful Buddha!" he gasped when he saw the big crown which Mei-Mei had been holding. "Is the empress here?" he asked, looking around for the presence of royalty.
