Chapter 501: Haena and Pd Rao’s feud.
Thanks to advance planning, Chi Lian and her friends ended up at a private bar called the groove. Muyang and his friends were already there by the time the women arrived. The two groups did not intersect, each one choosing to spend time away from their better half without the other.
The men were already sipping wine, others were drinking beer while some also smoked. Some rare additions to the group of professors were Tao Yichen’s older brother, the third prince and the prime minister(the second prince).
Even though this was supposed to be a social gathering, most of their talk revolved around politics, economics and leadership. The women’s group too had one new addition, president Qin.
"Everyone, this is Qin Meng." Chi Lian introduced her to the others. "This is Lili, the big chef, Yifei, Ximeng, Rize and Cherry who is new to our circle."
Cherry was here because the old madam encouraged Chi Lian to take her out and spend time together. President Qi was here because she invited Chi Lian out to celebrate the successful signing of the contract but Chi Lian had plans already so Qin Meng asked to join her.
A round of ’hellos’ and ’nice to meet you’ followed the introductions as the women got acquainted with one another.
"First of all, no drinking to intoxication you all remember what happened last time." Chi Lian reminded them. Xue Lili had just popped the champagne and everyone looked at everyone as they were all looking at her.
"What?" she asked. "I am not the group drunk, I can handle my alcohol."
"Yes," Rize agreed, "But you are the let’s drink till we drop type. Rui and I are officially meeting my father for breakfast tomorrow at eight sharp in the morning. I need to be focused."
"Ho!, you are introducing him to the emperor already, this is becoming serious." the big chef commented.
"We should toast to that." Lili said and she poured champagne for each of them in their glasses. They opted not to have any servers today because of the events that occurred the last time.
