Chapter 499: Who doesn’t love a little gossip?
One thing that all office workers loved to partake in during their breaks was gossip. They gossiped about their friends, their workmates, their relatives and random people whose identities they did not know but bumped into on their way to work. Most of all, they loved to gossip about celebrities and all that was related to them. They would gather in the cafeteria, balconies or downstairs in the small garden and talk about their fashion, relationships, projects and many other things. The topic of discussion today was not a celebrity but a wealthy young man that rarely appeared in public but one whose name was well known, Jun Muchen. His sudden marriage and the controversies surrounding it were the juiciest conversations on the lips of many office workers today in the phoenix building.
The topics ranged from "I can’t believe how handsome he is, I heard the bride went to an ivy league school, He stole her from another man" to "What did she do to deserve such a handsome man? and Do you thin the marriage will last if the two families don’t get along?"
It amused Chi Lian how insanely invested they all were in the lives of two complete strangers.
"Boss," Shu Li had been standing in front of her desk for a while holding some documents but Chi Lian had been straining her ears to over hear the nearest conversations.
"What were saying Shu Li?"
"Manager Ma dropped this off for you, she said that it’s the advance copy of the magazine. She put in a request for feed back and a go ahead as soon as possible since only a week is left until the month ends and they need to print."
"Okay, put it down." Chi Lian responded. "I am expecting some guests so prepare some tea and snacks, when they arrive let them into my office immediately"
"Who should I be on the look out for boss?" Shu Li asked to fulfill both her responsibility and curiosity.
"President Qin of Glory entertainment, she will be coming with one or two other people." One of the people coming was Haena but she preferred not to share that little fact. If the employees found out she was sure they would loiter around the elevators and underground parking waiting for an opportunity to ask for autographs and take pictures.
