Chapter 440: The old masters share good news
When he returned home, his mind was at peace and no longer did he have any worries about Ji Haolin. He went directly to the bedroom, undressed and entered bed. He buried his head in Chi Lian’s neck and took and a deep breath.
She smelled like that new vanilla shampoo which she used to wash her hair. It was so enticing, it smelled like her and also like home. He smiled and embraced her tightly from the back.
"I love you." he mumbled.
"Hmm." she mumbled in her sleep, turned over to face him and continued sleeping.
Muyang kissed her on the forehead, closed his eyes and slept.
Early the next morning, Chi Lian woke up to work out, then she prepared Muyang’s breakfast and showered. He woke just as she was exiting the bathroom. He looked at the time and noticed that it was coming to seven o’clock.
"Oh, it’s late." he said.
"Hmm, I switched your alarm off because you went out again at night. Don’t worry I checked with Wenzhe and he said you have two afternoon classes and one dinner meeting. Your morning is wide open so you can take your time today."
"You are going to court." he stated.
"Yes, the first hearing for phoenix media versus Du Moxi is today at eight thirty. I have to be there for the first session in case the judge needs to hear about the damages directly from me. I also want to see Moxi’s face when she realizes just how fried she is.
The last time I saw her she looked at me as if I was beneath her."
