Chapter 375: Self driving cars
Perhaps if he looked back, Minister Su would see Chi Lian crumble in her chair like a broken cookie. If he had closely looked, he would have seen the little bit of sweat on her neck. This had been an intense few minutes but it felt as if she had been in an interrogation room for hours.
"See, I told you that everything would be fine." T4 said smugly.
"No you didn’t." she retorted. He had advocated for minister Su’s murder, why was he proudly making contrary statements. A fox was a fox indeed.
She went to the private bathroom in her office and washed her face, wiped her neck and reapplied a little bit of make-up. Confident with her appearance, she returned to her desk.
Her espresso was cold and the taste was different from what she preferred so she called Shu Li and asked her to take it out. While Shu Li was leaving, bear squeezed herself through the door and invaded Chi Lian’s office.
"Boss, the state minister for security was here, this is big news. Was he here as a guest to discuss the state of security in the empire? This will be big for our ratings if we can manage to get him on air discussing the way forward in monitoring aristocratic families. It’s the biggest debate in the empire right now however all politicians have refused to go on air and say something about it."
She was speaking with so much excitement in her voice and on her face. It was too bad that Chi Lian was about to disappoint her.
"No, he was here to discuss a personal issue."
Bear was even more interested and she pushed her face forward, "Boss if it’s related to the business you can tell me. Even if it’s a secret, you can trust me with me it."
