Chapter 353: To the auction
The day of the Hua auction finally arrived and Chi Lian was dressed to stand out in her beautiful long blue gown with white floral patterns along the hem.
She kept spinning around proudly to show off her dress and shoes. She was wearing the white shoes with pearls which Muyang gave her as a gift.
One of the make-up artists from the entertainment company had professionally applied her make up to make it appear as if she was barely wearing any make up. With the engagement ring on her finger, she decided not to add any other excessive jewelry.
"If you keep spinning, your hair might fall out of place." Her mother warned.
"I look too lovely not to spin around mother, just take a look at me, have you ever seen a more beautiful woman in this empire?" She supported her face with her two hands and tried to look as cute as possible.
"I am sure I can mention names if you give me a moment." Mama Chi poked Chi Lian’s nose with her finger.
"Yan Daya." Chi Zimo abruptly said.
"The angel girl, oh please our sister looks better than her. I refuse to believe that anybody who looks like her is a natural born beauty." Chi Rui said.
Chi Lian pursed her lips while looking in Chi Zimo’s direction and she ’humped.’
"I still think your neck is too bare, the dress you have on exposes your back and neck. Your neck is long and graceful like a giraffe. It will appear more attractive if you add a necklace." Grandma An expressed her own opinions on Chi Lian’s look.
"Really." Chi Lian asked curiously.
