Chapter 348: Pride and pressure
Producer Xiaobo left her office and she left her chair and twirled a pen around in her hand while looking outside of her office window. The story he had just told her was bizarre but she had a feeling that there was more to it than it appeared.
For one, the last time she had been in a village that was in the mountains, she was rescuing Tang Siming who was being held there by a gang.
Ever since then, she had become suspicious of all small isolated villages because places like that always harbored secrets. She had seen enough movies to know this for a fact.
If there was a secret village, there was a secret.
There was another knock on her door and her secretary peeked in from the door way.
"What is it?" she asked.
"Uhm, boss, the princess is here and she is demanding to see you. You said that I should not allow anyone to disturb you for now but I am afraid of her." Her secretary admitted.
The young girl must really have been afraid of Rize because her eyes were slightly red and contained a little moisture. She appeared to be a few seconds away from crying. She was the type of girl to break into tears if someone barked at her. It was a miracle that she had managed to stop Rize from stomping all over her and barging into Chi Lian’s office.
"Let her in." Chi Lian told her.
