Chapter 319: Expecting guests
The whole drama had been witnessed by Chi Lian who had one of her drone’s follow the Wang’s and keep an eye on them once they left after the party yesterday. She wanted to stay on top of everything and ensure that the Wang’s were genuine when it came to her mother. Now that she knew everything that happened back then was not their fault, she was at peace with meeting them.
She could not wait for her mother to meet them too. Madam An in particular had impressed her with her ruthlessness.
Old master Wang too impressed her with his forthrightness because even though Wang Jie was his sister; he did not cover up for her. He left her fate up to the law at the expense of the Wang family’s reputation.
Something did bother her though, and it was the fact that the Wang’s were really too self-controlled. All the men had short haircuts the military style, even the young boys.
The women dressed conservatively, their hair was either black or brown and it was shoulder length maximum. Chi Lian who was planning to temporarily dye her waist long hair red the following week wondered how they would view her.
"I think it’s creepy." T4 who could hear her projected thoughts said.
"It’s weird not creepy and there is nothing wrong with it. It’s a preferential choice." She retorted.
"Are you defending them because they are good people or because they are your family?" T4 asked her.
Yesterday she had nothing positive to say about them and now she was giving them positive reviews.
"If I have to answer then I will say both." She replied.
"Are you going to wrap this photo shoot up because they are coming and will be here in about five minutes maximum? Everyone is coming, and by everyone I mean the parents, the brothers and some nieces and nephews too, this family really moves like a single celled organism." T4 said in wonder.
