Chapter 269: A peanut battle
The childish laughter and giggles were really uncontainable. It was clear to them all that Chi Lian was quite naïve and very much in love.
Because she could not take the knowing looks and silly laughter anymore, she hid behind the counter, away from the sight of all her supportive family members.
"All of you should stop it, you are embarrassing my Chi-Chi." Muyang bravely said to the rest of the family.
"Ooouh," the triplets juvenilely mooned once more.
"Okay, stop it all of you, my daughter-in-law, will never show her head in public if you keep this up." He Weili complained but with an indulgent smile.
"Auntie, stop hiding and come out." The young prince went hunting for Chi Lian behind the counter and he smelled something tantalizing. "Auntie, what smells so good?" he questioned her with eager eyes and greed in his eyes.
Chi Lian found the little boy so adorable. She reached her hand out an pinched his cheek.
"It’s just some peanuts." She answered.
Without even asking, Chi Lian knew that his next words were probably going to a request to eat some peanuts. So she said, "Return to your seat, auntie will bring you peanuts."
"Yes." The little prince replied and run away quickly.
He took a seat but his neck was craning restlessly, one would think he wanted to make sure that Chi Lian did not escape with the peanuts.
