Transmigration: Lady Chi Woos The Ice cold Professor Jun

Chapter 253: Bribe or coercion

Four more fun filled days filled with adventure went by so quickly and the family of four eventually went out on the water on one of Muyang’s boats to tour the unfrozen lake. The lake was one of the more rare sights in the empire because it never froze, not even in the winter.

This was because of volcanic activity deep in the lake that provided heat which prevented the lake from freezing.

This was the first trip of the children on a boat and they were quite excited. Chi Lian was also excited because she couldn’t wait for T4 to scan the lake and see if there was anything like treasure in it.

In the meantime, she was confused about why Muyang and little monk seemed to be holding some kind of stare off. Chi Lian could not help but wonder what had gone down between father and son. Did they argue?

Little monk was not yet vocal, how could he possibly argue with his father? Maybe she was over analyzing the situation and reading too much into it.

What she did not know however was that father and son were indeed engaged in a silent battle of wits which the father was not willing to lose.

Muyang was frustrated because little monk kept interfering with his night time plans. Ever since the trip started, little monk would kick up a fuss at night which resulted into him sharing a bed with them at night.

It seemed to be harmless in the beginning but after a while, Muyang realized that his son was perhaps calculative. He was out to sabotage him!!!

That’s why he and little monk were having a face to face; Muyang wanted his son to explain his behavior. On the boat, the two of them were sitting close, looking into each other’s eyes.

"My baby, why are you sabotaging me like this?" Muyang asked little monk.

Since little monk still refused to communicate verbally for an unknown reason, Muyang had to resort to studying his face for cues.
