Chapter 216: A failed seductress
"So that’s why you are here." Chi Lian scoffed, "Shanxi, you have seen me and you have seen my children, now get out." She said coldly.
Shanxi looked offended, the side of her mouth lifted up in a forced smile. "Chi-Chi..."
"I said, you have seen me and you have seen my children. Thank you for coming, now kindly exist my house before I drag you out by your hair." She said her words slower, but intentionally colder and more threatening.
Shanxi’s group of followers had just showed up and they managed to catch Chi Lian’s last words.
"Chi Lian, how can you be so rude like the old days, we came from far to see you. The class rep spent over five hundred thousand on gifts for your children. The least you can do is welcome her..." One of them tried to defend Shanxi while making it seem like Chi Lian was unreasonable.
Their plan was probably to smear Chi Lian’s reputation so that Muyang would lose interest in her.
"Guards," Chi Lian called and the guards around quickly came. "Find all the gifts they brought and throw them out. Take their pictures and give them to the soldiers at the entrance, these women should never be allowed into the emperor’s court residence."
The entire party was frozen in silence, not a peep could be heard. The clever ones who realized that she was holding a grudge against them for their actions in the past left quietly with their heads down. The room was cleared down to half of the people formally present.
"Chi Lian, you are not the emperor, you don’t have the power to ban..." Shanxi started complaining in a bewildered tone
"Old tiger, throw them out." She ordered her man who was just arriving.
Muyang organized nodded at his own guards who stated carrying the woman out and tossing outside the short gate in front of the mansion into the cold hard ground which was filled with piles of snow.
