Chapter 203: Rescuing their son[1]
At night on a street in the capital, in the midst of a foray of people, police officers redirected traffic ordering all cars to divert and take another route. If one inquired, they were informed that some old pipes had burst and there was a sewage leak which was being fixed. Outside a random shop which sold silver ware, cups, plates and the like an angry man watched a group of people dressed in yellow hazmat suits with gas masks on their faces make their way down a manhole.
The man was the owner of the shop who could not understand why the department of sanitation was suddenly fixing a sewage leak which was nonexistent. He had been in his shop all day, he smelled no sewage. So why was the sanitation department interfering with his work? The people being diverted would not be able to purchase or admire anything from his shop tonight. The man angrily went back into his shop, picked up a paper fan and fanned his body. He seemed to have forgotten that it was snowing and the weather was cold so there was no need to fan himself.
This group of sanitation workers was none other than Chi Lian, Jun Muyang and the others who were involved in the rescue mission.
When everyone asked how Chi Lian had managed to get the real police involved in their operation, she simply said she had called in a favor.
Truthfully, none of these policemen were actual policemen, they were all military soldiers tasked to make sure that this mission was a success.
Chi Lian was leading the group from in front, she had three drones in the air, scanning and keeping an eye on everything. T4’s scan also became more accurate the closer they got to Cloud school. That’s how she found out that there was a section of the school underneath a group of containers that seemed to be useless at first glance.
T4 could tell that there were people down there, it was the most protected part of the grounds. That is where they were heading, as soon as the cameras were disabled and the dogs handled.
To handle the dogs, she brought Blackguard with her, the big dog was a monster among dogs, if anything could handle the brutish looking dogs described, it was Blackguard.
The group of twenty people trudged through the old sewers, occasionally; a rat would run past them. She hoped they would not come across a snake because someone would get spooked and scream or shoot unintentionally.
