Chapter 169: The end of a good date.
"Why are you careless?" Muyang shouted at her worriedly. He grabbed a napkin and placed it at her mouth, "Spit it out." He ordered.
Her eyes were teary but she shook her head, stubbornly refusing to spit out the hot piece of meat. It was truly too delicious. Whatever spices grandmother used in her roasts were simply out of this world.
"Spit." Muyang said sternly.
"Mmm-mmm." She shook her head in refusal.
"I will pry your mouth open if I have to." He threatened seriously. He could not believe how silly she was behaving. Was that piece of meat worth a burn on her tongue?
To his disbelief, she quickly chewed the meat and swallowed it. He could not help but giggle softly.
"Chi-Chi, were you that determined to eat that piece meat?" he asked.
She blushed and answered, "Grandmother must have put a lot of love and care into the meat because it tastes so good. You should taste it." She picked a piece from her plate, blew on it for a bit and held it at his mouth as if she was feeding a child. "Open." She said.
He wasted no time in opening his mouth and letting her feed him. After chewing for a while, he nodded his head in approval.
"It’s soft, juicy and not too spicy or sweet."
"Exactly." She agreed with his conjecture, it’s really good. I wonder why people are not patronizing her stall as much as other restaurants and stalls here. The hygiene is superb and the food is good." She paused and took a sip of the wine which Muyang had poured for her in a plastic glass. "Ah, good wine." She said.
