Chapter 142: A heavy conversation.
"Mmm, I got the results, they are not related." He replied softly. He seemed to be worried about her reaction but she was already sleeping and she did not hear what he said. He looked at her sleeping face and smiled dotingly and rubbed his thumb slowly across her ruby red lips. "Silly minx." He said. "How exhausted you must be."
Suddenly he considered the point his grandmother and mother made. Perhaps she really did need a break after all this. She had run herself rugged for a couple of days now. She would even be more stressed once she learned that her mother and wicked grandmother are not biologically related. It would be her next mission, finding her mother’s original family and she would not stop until she found answers and justice for her mother.
"Should we run away together?" he whispered to her.
Instead of a reply, all he received was a slight slap to his face as she tried to turn over.
Muyang looked at her disbelievingly with his hand on his cheek. "How can she slap the man of her dreams easily?" He then used his index finger to poke her cheek and asked, "You, are you dreaming of me? If you dare dream of someone else, I will spank you hard."
That said, he laid her down carefully, kissed her on the cheek and left the tent. If he was to go on a vacation with her, he needed to make changes to his schedule.
He found her brother Chi Wei waiting outside the tent. He was pacing back and forth while kicking the ground.
"She is sleeping." He told Chi Wei.
Chi Wei hesitated to respond and instead he looked at Muyang angrily. "I don’t like how you have easily inserted yourself into my sister’s life. Going in and out of her room as if the two of you are married, it is an insult to our family’s honor." He said through gritted teeth with his fists clenched.
