Chapter 127: Hot cake pajamas
"It’s nothing major mother, Muyang was just telling me about the new security arrangements. He is really going above and beyond in his quest to help me. Mother," she wheedled and hugged He Weili’s arm, "Thank you for giving birth to such a good son." She said.
"Of course he is good; he is my son after all." He Weili bragged as she rubbed Chi Lian’s arm dotingly. "I am so happy he found you. You don’t know how much he has changed ever since you came into his life. But I think the two of you should take it easy." She said thoughtfully, "Don’t be too vigorous in the bedroom especially when you are tired. Chi-Chi, you can’t always indulge Muyang." She advised.
Chi Lian blushed and changed the topic immediately, "Mother, you were looking for me. Why?" she asked.
"Right, I am so forgetful. All the campers have checked in, it’s getting dark and there are very many spectators outside trying to sneak in. It’s time to close the gates."
"Okay, let me do that immediately."
Escaping from He Weili gladly, she entered her tent and checked her virtual screen. It was showing the surrounding area around the camp.
From where she was, she made an announcement, "Everyone, the venue is about to be locked down and only one exit point will be kept open. All the campers and members of staff are advised to stay within until the lock down has finished."
"Lock it down T4." She said after receiving the all clear from the security team.
Thanks to T4, she had acquired ten Vacuum tubes that could be buried into the ground to create a steel barrier. The tubes expanded into a bunch of interconnected steel metal that formed a fence around the whole venue.
These tubes were really convenient if one wanted to create an instant mini dome. Of course on his planet, the barrier was invisible. But she did not want to freak people or out herself as having access to alien technology out here in the empire so the barrier was physical, thick and metallic. It would be open on top of course because the theme of the camp was "Camping under the stars with your stars."
