Chapter 102: A father daughter struggle
"Host, I would not dare suggest such a thing. That would be catastrophic and disastrous for this world." T4 was flabbergasted; he was not a world domination system! He was a pet system, simply created to accompany his master, not change their fate.
"Then don’t make such statements again. But I will accept the genius part; every parent wants their child to accomplish great things in life. "Yes host that is what I meant earlier. I just got carried away and used the wrong wording. Do you know that the empire is paying tuition for doctor Tang Siming’s children all their lives? He may not be a very wealthy man but he will never have to worry about the education of his children."
"Truly an enviable man." Chi Lian sighed.
"Chi-Chi, why are you exasperated?" the old madam asked in a concerned voice. She had noticed that Chi Lian was absent minded for a while now. She appeared to be lost in thought as if something had caught her attention. In fact, ever since she met her, she noticed that she did that a lot.
"Nothing grandma, I am just a little tired." She patted the old madam’s hand in comfort.

You can’t do that yet my dear," the old madam looked into her eyes the same way a teacher does when they are teaching a student, "You will be the madam of the Jun family one day, and God willing the matriarch at one point in your life. This means you will host a lot of events, sometimes you will be exhausted but you must learn to push through. As a host, you must show strength and be courteous. You cannot leave before your guests do.
She patted her hand twice and smiled dottingly.
However, you are not the host today so nobody will make a big deal out of your absentia."
This conversation made the Old madam realize that she needed to start training Chi Lian in the ways of a wealthy family’s madam. She had to adhere to certain standards when it came to her looks and actions.
As the old madam educated her, she nodded her head like a restless chicken and agreed with everything that was being said.
