Chapter 98: Into the bathroom with him.
Upstairs in the bedroom, she found Muyang sitting on the bed and frowning at the clothes laid out before him as if they had somehow offended him.
She walked towards the bed and called him but he was lost in his own world.
"Muyang," she called again and tapped him on the shoulder, "What’s wrong, why are you frowning at the clothes?" she asked.
Despite her persistence, he remained silent, cold and calm, like a deadly storm in the middle of the night.
"Muyang?" she softened her voice and touched his face. "Talk to me, talk to your Chi-Chi."
He snorted and chuckled suddenly, as if nothing was wrong and she was imagining his previous prickly attitude. If Chi Lian had to guess, his dark mood probably had something to do with some of his family members that had arrived. She had seen his father languishing in a corner of the house like an unwanted demon.
"Do you want a massage, it could relax you." She suggested and her hands moved from his face to his soft hair.
He shook his head negatively and took the hand from his hair and kissed it. "Just lay with me for a while." He said and pulled her down to the bed.
They were both lying on the bed and staring at the ceiling while holding hands. She turned her head and looked at him, the handsome him who made her heart beat faster than her motorcycle at its fastest speed. This was the man she was planning to spend the rest of her life with, the father of her child and other children if she could convince him to get on board the Mei-Mei needs siblings train. Her heart ached a little to see the little frown lines on his forehead. She had to say something to distract him from his mind.
"You realize that we are wrinkling your clothes." She said the first thing that popped into her mind.
Turning his head, his gaze met hers and he smiled softly, "It amazes me that you can still think about clothes when we are lying together on this bed."
