Chapter 90: Personal vengeance
Chi Lian allowed herself to be dragged out of the room by Jun Muyang because the rage building inside of her was about to explode. If that man was not Jun Muyang’s father, she would have slapped him just as she slapped that miss chu.
Muyang stopped moving and he softly pushed Chi Lian against the wall. "Chi-Chi, I am sorry." he said. He was really agonized by the actions of his father.
Like a scared little boy, he wore a lost expression on his face.
"Muyang..."
"Please don’t take her away from me because of him." he begged. He was afraid that his father’s words would make Chi Lian push him away from Mei-Mei’s life.
"Muyang.._" she called softly.
"Please, I will fix this." He pleaded. His hands that were holding onto her shoulders gripped her so tightly that it hurt.
Bringing her palm to his face, Chi Lian attempted to soothe him, "Its okay Muyang, Its not your fault. I know that you are not your father, you are different. You are a good man and a great father."
Now, she realized that Muyang had some hidden insecurities. Whatever happened between him and his father must have gone beyond what he told her. In fact, she suspected that there were some things that his mother and grandparents did not know.
Muyang rubbed his face against the palm of her hand with his eyes closed.
"If I do something really terrible, will you hate me?" she asked.
