Chapter 299
Price Ivan forcefully collects his assistant from me, prying her fingers free from my robes as she resists.
"Just ten more minutes boss. No five, just give me five minutes and I’ll let go on my own I swear." The fluffy little vampire insists.
"Enough. You’re working. Focus. Now, since we’ve gotten rid of the annoying humans, can we please get back to business? I came here because we needed a follower of the Black Dragon. We’ve got a Vampire Elder suffering from a curse that stops them from absorbing energy, but vampires don’t use Demonic energy for their life force and our doctors are stumped."
"I’ll go. I care very little about Lycan games and even less about Titan weddings." One of the Black Avatars offers and Prince Ivan smiles.
"Thank you. I’ll make sure your remuneration is more than generous." Prince Ivan says, bowing his head to the Avatar before opening a portal and walking though, leaving the fluffy Vampire rushing to catch up with the pair before it closes.
"Poor thing, must be hard living in the Demon Realm." Steve says, watching her go. She didn’t actually seem too hard done by, just overworked as Prince Ivan’s assistant. Being surrounded by predators here was probably the most stressful part of her week.
Beta John and his Assistants now have the portal back to the Lycans home village in the Divine Plane open, and are ushering everyone through. Most of the Beastkin and shape shifter former slaves that have come with us for lack of a home looked terrified to begin with, but the complete pack of Mortal Realm energy to cultivate is starting to make them panic.
"Everyone relax a moment. I know you’re cut off from cultivation energy again, but it’s because of your lower cultivation levels. See, I’m fine, because I’m at the Immortal Realm stage of cultivation and can use the energy here. I’ve developed pills that will help you cultivate new forms of energy, so you can function normally here as well. You won’t be restricted the way you were before."
It helps a little bit coming from me, but once I start passing out the few energy optimization pills I have left, extremely low strength ones suitable for mortals in the Divine Plane, the mood immediately lightens.
"I’ll have to make them more of those before we go. Do I still have time?" I ask Beta John, who is surveying the group to make sure all the right people get through.
"Yeah, you’ve got twelve hours before we need to go. If that’s enough time to make the pills, go ahead."
