Chapter 264
Before I start on Nibbles, I decide to feed Cedar just a couple cultivation pills. Core Formation, Soul Forging, Natural Energy Enhancement, plus my personal concoction to enable the most efficient use of available energy. Virtually the same concoction we fed to the volunteers the pack brought from the Divine Realm that we were attempting to turn into mages. But in a lower dosage, due to Cedar’s body size.
Her cultivation springs into overdrive, the high grade pills and optimization letting them flow naturally into her body and form an unshakable Foundation. They’re not done yet though, and are beginning to refine her tiny body, so I guide her cultivation through the desired pattern to fully utilize all the pathways I just opened before turning back to Nibbles.
"Alright, lay down here, head in my lap and we’ll get started." I say, before noticing someone has begun watching us. The Alpha’s oldest son, Dave.
"Don’t disturb her. I’m tweaking her cultivation." I whisper with my finger to my lips, knowing his enhanced senses can hear me.
"She might be cultivating, but she’s drooling on your stuffed animal." He whispers back with a grin. That’s fine, they’re washable.
I start by opening up more of Nibbles Meridians, noticing that she’s already got a nice strong cultivation base. She’s not very advanced, but she’s doing an excellent job so far, with decent natural aptitude. The Meridians are opening smoothly over after another, and the increased flow of cultivation energy is starting to drain her, so I begin adding my own.
It’s Lycan, not werewolf tinted, but it should be close enough to not cause problems once she takes the cultivating cocktail. I drop the pills into her mouth and let them dissolve, the effects washing over her like a tidal wave. The Core Forming and Soul Forging pills are rapidly reworking her cultivation base and her body, moving her from Foundation into Fortification Realm. With a bit of finesse, I start to stretch her mana veins, a much easier task than with Cedar, as they’re in good shape, still developing and flexible.
The increased rate of energy flow, combined with the quality of refined energy I have been feeding through her system is rapidly refining her body until I feel the shift and it is no longer simply taking in energy for refinement, but also beginning to allow it to escape, the mark of early Condensation Realm cultivation.
The pills are wearing off though, so I add another set to give me time to finish my work, attuning her body to the external use of energy while increasing the amount she can manipulate.
I’ll have to be careful with these in the future, I’m running low, and the materials to make them are basically nonexistent on Earth.
Increasing her energy handling abilities is a futile exercise unless I start forming her core though, as without it her body will naturally settle back to early Condensation after the external stimuli are gone.
The pills are almost worn off again, and I can feel the power rolling off Nibbles body as her cultivation base settles and her body adapts to the newly formed cultivation core. Small and soft, but stable. From this point on, it’s a matter of increasing the density and layering of the core until it reaches critical mass, then adding enlightenment to the mix, none of which can be done hastily.
