A moment of spring night is worth a thousand gold. Although it was in the middle of chen shi and was not night, Yanzhi felt that his gold was stolen which left him with a bad look. After he was done getting dressed into a dark coloured double coat robes, he was once again faced with Yanzhi’s bad face, Xiao Ling was muddled up by such.
"Xiang gong what happened? You looked to be in a bad mood, I’ve never seen you like this." his voice sounded with worry. "Never mind." Yanzhi wasn’t in the mood to discuss with him about his stolen gold "let’s go, it’s better to deal with those responsible than to discuss it with you." he added without warmth. Xiao Ling was very puzzled, but he also had somethings he wanted to discuss and wanted to know about the situation while he was in a state of sleep. So he didn’t also push for Yanzhi to share with him "en, let’s go" he nodded walking ahead of Yanzhi.
As soon as he walked out of the door, Xiao Ling was met with the new changes making him surprised. Now that he thinks about it it seems the room looked a bit different from what it used to be, he thought.
"Xiang gong doesn’t the house seems different?" he turned around and asked Yanzhi who was quietly following behind closely.
"En..." Yanzhi hummed softly, a gentle smile plastered on his lips. "The best is yet to be see, come on, I’ll take you to see." He grabbed hold of Xiao Ling’s hand and unceremoniously dragged him out of the house. Reaching to the entrance of the house and facing the unrecognizable courtyard, they both stopped. Yanzhi’s smile became more as he watched his little wife with a very surprised and astonished look.
"Xiang gong this....you did this?" Xiao Ling felt that what he was seeing was beyond words. The courtyard’s change was just something he’d see in a fantasy book. A lotus pond covered almost the whole of the courtyard, with golden carps swimming and jumping lively in the pond. In the center of the pond was a very big unknown boulder of light blue colour made into a resting place, couches with thick cushions and coverings and board partitions surrounding from one side to the other, leaving only the front open. At one side of the pond was a peach blossom tree with it’s braches and leaves stretched to the resting place creating a shade. And on the other side was a pear blossom tree with it’s braches and leaves stretched to the resting place, although it wasn’t the season for both trees, nevertheless they were in full bloom. In the pond were different kinds of water plants, from lilies to others and steam raising from the pond. It was such a beautiful sight, running out from the door way Xiao Ling was filled with smiles, it was really beautiful and he had never seen anything like this. Although the pond covered up most of the place, but it didn’t affect walking around in the courtyard.
"Do you like it? Our Heavens Query Courtyard." a warm breath brushed against his ear making his skin reddened, he nodded with a rare shy look. "En, I love it." "Come on." Yanzhi said as he took hold of his hand, he flew the both of them over the pond briskly, landing gently on the stone platform of the resting place.
"Boss Lin!" Bee called out with a rare warmth on his cold face, his expression showing relief. "Erhm-erhm boss Yan." he coughed awkwardly and his calling for Yanzhi sounded like hoarse, he earned a fierce glare from Yanzhi who seemed to not want to see Bee at all. Bee shrank back his neck and the others taking a clue had embarrassed and flattering smiles.
"M-m-master." Yue called out blinking her big round eyes cutely. "Hmp!" Yanzhi snorted coldly and went to sit in a relaxed way in the couch. Tea sets and snacks were already on the table, he poured for himself tea and for Xiao Ling who came to sit beside him.
