Chapter 106: Ch. 49 Part 1
On the third day of Xiao Ling’s and Yanzhi’s seclusion, people from various villagers around the mountain had gathered in ’Big Stone Village’, the village head’s of various villages around the other sides of the mountain came together to discuss with village head Lu regarding the events that had been taking place because of the sudden events that took place after the mountain was owned by an individual. The mountain had always being on it’s own and was never owned by any of the villages around it, so none of the villages had rights over it and now that it was naturally sold to an Individual by the yamen, naturally none of the villages had any say and any objections even if they were with dissatisfactions and envious knowing that the owner of the mountain was a person ftom ’Big Stone Village’
The news about the construction on the mountain had long being known and people from other villages had also participated in the construction. So all the villages around the mountain knew about the extravagant courtyard with many houses that could accommodate more than thousands of people, some people even dreamt about living there. Many were envious and were even looking forward to meeting the owners, but just when the owners who had long being away had return, bizarre phenomenas suddenly took place with fog engulfing the whole mountain making it unable for anyone to enter. Such bizarre phenomena was said to be a curse by the elders of the nearby surrounding villages, the mountain was deemed forbidden and inhabitable to the younger generations, but there were stubborn curious ones who still went into the mountain after all the warnings given, and those were the ones brought out by Baihu and Mei Lin with some with broken limbs and others with completely severed limbs, the wounds were severe but not life threatening.
This was what led to the gathering of the other villages in ’Big Stone Village’ intending to seek explanation from the owner of the mountain. Big stone village was full of people and some even from the county who heard of the situation came to join in on the fun. Looking at the bickering villagers and the village heads arguing with village head Lu, Lin and Feng who were instructed to deal with the these people coming to seek trouble with Yanzhi were in rage.
"Audacious of you to think, that you’re worthy to ask master of explanation." Lin sneered listening to the rumbling of an old village head.
"You-you-you, to think the youngsters now a days have no respect for their elders. Look at the children from our village brought down from your mountain by your people with their limbs broken and severed, isn’t right for you to give us explanation for this? Their lives are ruined now, how do you expect them to live now?" pointing at his nose whiles talking with spits flying out was the old village head, Lin pulled away in disgust.
"Herh, are you worthy to claim yourself out elder? And what explanation do you think we owe you? Going up the mountain when we naturally forbade anyone from going up without permission was of their own choice. We even went on our way to save them and brought them out, but here you are accusing us. Since long the mountain has always been a dangerous place that not many people dared venture, so are you saying that all lives lost and unfortunate events that took place on the mountain, we have to give explanation for that as well?"
Feng took over and with a cold murderous look, he questioned looking at the old man like an ant that could be squashed with a single thought.
"Little brother, that isn’t what we mean..."
"Then what do you mean?" Feng cut off another orderly man who wanted to speak for the other.
