Chapter 92: Ch. 43 Part 1

In the room where Xiao Ling was laid to rest and recover his strength. The youngster’s lashes trembled as they slowly opened revealing his mesmerizing black pupils. He laid still groggy and confused as he sort out his memories. The youngster slowly brought himself up to a sitting position, his eyes roam the room in search for someone, but the person he was searching for wasn’t in the room. Xiao Ling was apathetic not being able to see the one he wanted to see the most when he opened his eyes.

Xiao Ling closed his eyes and sensed the energy in him, he sighed regretfully not sensing the tremendous power he felt when Yanzhi lended him his qi. Truly a power which was lended to one will always remain a borrowed strength and not one’s, he couldn’t help but think with a regretful heart. But with that being said, he seemed to have gained some benefits from the power lended to him, his qi capacity had widened more and a the skill ’Shadow Cloak’ had not left him although it’s at E level now. And the number of undeads he could possess now was more, both the undeads he just made and the ones he previously had, the slots had opened up and he could summon two more of his previous undead soldiers. With that he was overjoyed, although he couldn’t keep that tremendous borrowed strength, he wasn’t without benefits from it.

He got down from the bed with an indifferent look, his face lacking emotions of any sorts. Xiao Ling used the cleansing technique on himself, before changing into new sets of robes. He wore a black and white robes, the shirt white and the coat black with a long back elbow length gloves. The gloves was designed in pentagon shape at the wrist side with a ring shape attached to the top point which fixed on his ring finger, all five fingers showing. A black jade pendant attached to the belt on his waist, on the hem of the black coat were white color embroidery of snakes in different forms.

Xiao Ling walked out of the room after getting dressed as he made his way down the hall paths. As he got closer to the entrance of the house, he could here sounds of swords clashing. Xiao Ling quickened his pace. At the entrance of the house, he could hear clearly the sounds of swords clashing together. Xiao Ling followed the sounds leading him to the place Yanzhi used as a training grounds at the backyard.

The brightness of the sun made him squint his eyes in discomfort, judging from the sky he could tell it was daybreak. He didn’t need to be told for him to know that he slept through out the rest of the yesterday and throughout the night, and was only able to wake up now from his slumber.

His sights fell on Yanzhi and Yue exchanging swords, more like Yue striking with her all as if her life depended on it and Yanzhi evading with one hand behind and with ease. They had spectators surrounding them looking with interest and envy, most probably thinking when they could be able to possess Yue’s strength, none of them had sights for Yanzhi’s strength even though they were with envy. But to possess Yanzhi’s strength, it will take them decades to be able to possess Xiao Ling’s strength, much less think about the strength Yanzhi possessed. Yanzhi and Yue’s spectators were Lixin, Xile, number 6 and 7, Jinhua, doctor Shi, King Pingxi and a weird looking elderly man (old Fei’s appearance in Xiao Ling’s eyes). The elderly man had an expression of being wronged and envyness, his eyes solemnly focused on the movements of Yue and Yanzhi as if wanting to follow along the actions.

Xiao Ling sent his sights back to YanZhi and Yue, he looked with distress at Yue who had a lot of blood stains on the green dress she was wearing. On her stomach was the most blood as she kept bleeding profoundly from the stab wound on her stomach. One could see that her movements slow in every seconds, she looked tired and from the clumsy movements she was making, it was obvious she couldn’t go on anymore. But the look in her eyes never wavered as she continued to maintain the determinations in them and stood strong.

"Why don’t you stop for now, and continue after taking some rest" Xiao Ling walked to them saying along the way.

Both Yanzhi and Yue stopped their swords in mid-air and turned to him, infact they had already sensed his presence as soon as he arrived, but because they were in the middle of a serious training they had to focus. Yanzhi brought his sword down.

"Let’s stop here, go and heal your wounds" Yanzhi said calmly to Yue. He stretched out his sword, Lixin quickly went for it and passed him a clean wet cloth.
