At first light the next day, Yanzhi ordered for their departure from the inn and continue on with their journey. Yanzhi and Xiao Ling along with their members were in good positive conditions as they prepared to depart. But that wasn’t the same for the Luo’s, due to the state in which Luo Xia was found the previous night things were messy for their family. Luo Xia was found by a bypasser who reported to the workers in the inn, which was then reported to the inn keeper. Due to that Luo Xia’s shameful state was known to a lot of people. The Luo’s who were disgraced badly didn’t know where to put their faces.
"Master Jun! Mistress Xiao" Luo Cheng Yuan called out and greeted Yanzhi and Xiao Ling when they were about to board their carriages. Yanzhi just gave a nod and went on to climb the carriage followed by Xiao Ling who no longer wanted to care about them. Yue and Chang saluted respectfully to the Luo’s before also climbing onto the carriage. Liu glimpsed upon Luo Xia who looked haggard and was hiding behind her parents, looking as if her soul hard left her. The current appearance of Luo Xia made her smirked satisfied as she also climbed the carriage before closing the door, even with the veil cover on her face one could notice her scornful look.
Luo Cheng Yuan sighed, his son clenched his fists trying to hold back his anger thinking even a servant had the nerves to scorn at them. They also went to their carriages with their hearts in turmoils. The carriages started to move.
"Junior sister Liu say, there was a rumour in the inn about young miss Luo Xia being found in a disgraceful state." Yue glanced lightly ay Liu as she stated in carefree tone. "I remembered telling junior sister Liu not to take things too far?" she asked. "I did as senior sister Yue instructed" in a calm voice Liu replied back to Yue. "It was just that the mind of that pesky insect was weaker than i thought, she couldn’t even last a minute when i showed her the illusion of my snake form." she said with disappointments. Yue took back her gazes from her "I see" Yue said and decided not to ask about the matter again.
"You did something to her after I left?" their conversations piqued Xiao Ling’s interest. "Mistress i didn’t even get to do what i wanted to do with her before she passed out" Liu informed in a pained voice. "That insect dared to disrespect you, ripping apart her mouth would be the right punishment. But it was of mistress’s benevolence to forgive that rude insect" she complained unhappily.
"Liu! You respect your mistress’s ways of doing things, don’t question him ever again!" Yanzhi who was quietly listening to them but when he heard Liu complained, he scolded her. He was truly upset when he was informed of the incidence that occured by Yue even when Xiao Ling didn’t want him to know about it, he wanted to erase the existence of that daring child. But Xiao Ling prevented him from doing so, since it was Xiao Ling’s choice of not wanting to pursue the matter he respected Xiao Ling’s desición. Xiao Ling argued about it being unnecessary to be affected by the words of a mere child, Yanzhi agreed with his reasoning.
"Liu was wrong, i plead with master and mistress to forgive Liu" she quickly knelt on one knee and cupped her hands with her head down asking for forgiveness. "Mhm, it’s okay. Xiang gong i don’t mind, I’d be happy if they’ll speak their thoughts to me. That’s what family does... right?" Xiao Ling now considered them as his family, since loosing his family at the beginning of the dungeon apocalypse in his previous life. He has always envied those with family, he may not show it but he yearned to be one with family too laughing with them and talking about random things. And now that such opportunity has been given to him with people he could trust earnestly and show his back to at ease. Yanzhi looked to him with understanding of his mindset, for Yanzhi he really didn’t care and it didn’t matter much. But as long as it was something Xiao Ling desired then he would comply, that was what Yanzhi had put in mind. "If that’s what little wife wants, then i have no problem with it." He said to Xiao Ling with a doting smile, "but.....that doesn’t mean you should make a habit of it, little wife’s choices are absolute!" he warned his disciples coldly.
