" Uncle Tang and Aunty Meng Yao I was originally going to find some people to help me mill soybeans to make tofu and get the soybean milk... do you think you can do that work? " Xiao Ling asked in a leisurely tone and they both nodded and cupped their hands.
" Boss we can do it... please let it to us " Uncle Tang said respectfully.
" Then you’ll be paid two taels each... I’ll have Liang and Jia call for you when when it’s about three to four days left to open the restaurant " they both signed the agreement and also took a tael each as advance.
Xiao Ling swept over them and nodded in satisfaction at his arrangements but he still thought he needed a few people more... he drummed his fingers on the table thinking which made YanZhi arched his brows but ignored since he (YZ) knew absolutely nothing about what his little wife wanted.. he could probe into Xiao Ling’s soul to find out but he didn’t want to since he wanted Xiao Ling to be opened to him of his( XL) own account.
" Those who are disheartened shouldn’t be since all the positions I have today aren’t permanent... there’ll be promotion and demotion! If you don’t do your work properly you’ll be stripped off your position and that’s demotion. And if you do a good job you’ll be given a higher position and that’s promotion... so you all should work hard because anyone can be promoted as well as demoted, it all depends on your hard work and loyalty to me and the restaurant. And they’d be bonuses which is when you do a good job and the shop earns more than intended, I can dash you all some silvers "
When Xiao Ling mentioned of demotion they felt very panic because none of them wanted to loose their positions which were too good.. but their spirit returned when they heard about the promotions and the bonuses making them all cupped and thanked Xiao Ling honestly.
" That’s all for today.. you all can go back now, grab a copy of the contracts you signed and go rest for the day and the next.. from the day after tomorrow you’re all going to start practicing seriously and I don’t entertain those who are lazy, disloyal, betrayals, backstabbers and those who like complaining. They nodded in understanding and went for the copy of their signed contracts before walking out of the house with smiles and feeling refreshed in the hot sun. Xiao Ling sighed as he finally got time to relax and rest for a bit.
" You look tired... do you want to go in and rest for a bit? " YanZhi asked as he looked at Xiao Ling’s tired face thinking he should reconsider about letting Xiao Ling work.. Xiao Ling shook his head.
" No I’m alright.. I’ll be fine after taking some cold water, by the way Xiong Gong let’s call Yue and the kids to finish up the food here " YanZhi agreed with him before he went into the kitchen and put ice cubes into a cup and poured water over it before drinking to cool and moist his dry throat which was dried up for talking long... after he called Yue and the rest over to eat and rest even though it wasn’t yet for lunch he thought the kids must be exhausted and hungry from the training.
YanZhi decided to test the Lu’s and see whether they had talent for martial... he had them formed a straight line then he stood in front facing them as Yue and Xiao Ling sat there with their undivided attention on YanZhi.
" I’m going to show you a ten set technique only once, then you’ll all do it after " YanZhi said and turned his back to them so they could see it in a good angle and the right position
