Chapter 12: Killing Three Birds With One Stone
Zhu Lin looked at her rabbit with questions in her eyes, but her mouth was busy chewing, so she didn’t speak.
Tu Tu stored the jar of spices back into its spirit palace and said, "Once in the past, I met an old man on a trip. He said that to make a delicious meal, seasoning and the chef’s skills are indispensable. It turns out that what he said is indeed true."
After hearing what Tu Tu said, Zhu Lin nodded in agreement.
When Zhu Lin finished her dinner, Tu Tu put away the metal rod and said, "Master, from now on, let’s learn how to cook together."
Zhu Lin wiped her lips, nodded and said, "Mhm. Let’s do that."
Now that she had eaten, Zhu Lin continued to meditate, using the newly acquired spiritual energy to repair her meridians, while Tu Tu continued to sleep. The night passed slowly and without any problems.
Early the next morning, Zhu Lin felt a tingling burning sensation in her meridians and dantian. She frowned slightly, and used her divine energy to subdue the black fire in her meridians. She thought something was wrong, so she stopped cultivating.
When she opened her eyes and looked up, she noticed that what the first ray of sunlight brought was not purple spiritual energy, but black devil energy instead.
Looking at the devil energy contained in the sunlight, Zhu Lin thought to herself: ’No wonder a mass of black fire suddenly burst out in my meridians. It turned out that this came from the first ray of sunlight. I should be more careful in the future when I’m meditating.’
