Chapter 49: Maximilian VS. Photon Fury - Final
While raining down punches on the helpless Photon Fury, the terrifying voice from Maximilian’s helmet modulator spoke:
"I’m betting on your nature, Photon Fury... I’m betting that you’re a bitch! A bitch who doesn’t care about anyone but herself! That’s your true nature! Now, prove me wrong!"
He intensified the attack, raining down punches without stopping. The battery in his armor was an experimental model, designed based on alien technology. It could last for more than 120 hours under high-intensity use, such as this.
With each zap of high-voltage electricity, Photon Fury started to feel more and more numb. Her brain—the core of her ability to control her power—began to lose consciousness from the repeated shocks. This crucial fact didn’t register in Photon Fury’s mind at all, because she believed she was naturally strong and didn’t need any training.
That was why she never consulted anyone about the nature of her powers or how they truly worked. And because Photon Fury had refused to cooperate with the IHB for proper training, Maximilian—who had stolen data from the IHB data center—also didn’t know about this critical weakness.
As more punches landed, her face became battered—bruises covering her skin, her nose and mouth bloodied, and a few teeth broken. She no longer had the glamorous look of a hero.
Photon Fury, filled with frustration, anger, and now fear of death, found her injuries mounting. Combined with the repeated electrical shocks numbing her brain, her control finally snapped.
"Arrrrrrrrrrggghhhh!"
With a scream filled with frustration and rage, Photon Power exploded outward from her body. The heat instantly vaporized the surroundings and blasted Maximilian off her.
BOOOOOOOOM!
Her power burst outward, destroying the entire building and killing anything inside. Heat radiated from the epicenter. Only the strongest parts of the structure, like the main pillars and basement, survived the fallout.
