Chapter 75: Agares Ruthless
Arnold turned to look—none of his soldiers had managed to escape from the ice magic.
His eyes returned to the front, where he saw Milenia standing beside Leon, defending the city’s people.
Their courage inspired the other adventurers to stand up as well. They lined up beside Leon’s party and drew their weapons.
The people of the city united—not to support Agares, but to protect their home from invaders.
Arnold had no choice. If he forced a battle here, he’d be easily defeated.
Milenia possessed the strongest power among them. One swing of her magic sword could freeze every kingdom soldier in the city. Beating Arnold would be no challenge for her.
"You dare to go against the Kingdom?!" Arnold shouted.
"If you try to turn our city into a place of oppression like this, then yes, I will fight back," Milenia replied.
"Besides, no one will ever know if we kill you here. People on the surface will assume the monsters got you," Milenia added coldly.
"From your words, it’s clear you intend to kill us!" Arnold said, visibly shaken.
He didn’t know what to do. Fighting meant death. Not fighting meant losing the trail of Agares.
