Chapter 49: Shadepiercer Sword
Agares’s eyes shot open—he was shocked to see that he wasn’t dead. He was still lying there.
"What... happened?" gasped Agares.
He turned his head and clearly saw the black-dressed woman lying helplessly beside him.
She was on her back, limp, with the black sword Shadepiercer firmly stabbed into the ground, standing upright.
"What did you—"
"I couldn’t do it," interrupted the black-dressed woman, confusing Agares.
"What do you mean?"
"Your power earlier... it was enough to wound my sword spirit. I don’t have the strength."
"Come here and kill me. That way, the Shadepiercer will be yours."
Agares went silent. He didn’t know what to do. His strength was drained, his body was heavily wounded, and his sword had been destroyed.
He had no idea how he was supposed to kill her now.
