Chapter 38: Search For Forge Materials
"Wait! You are—"
"You better not speak too loudly. I don’t want anyone to hear us."
Agares gagged Erika’s mouth and interrupted her. This was a risk Agares had to take when he revealed his identity to Erika.
Even if Agares didn’t tell her, she would eventually find out when she arrived at the Thorn residence.
It would be much better if she found out directly from Agares rather than from her father. That way, Erika could try to understand all of this and Agares’ connection to her rescue.
"What are you doing there?!" asked Nash.
Agares smiled, saying that they were fine. The man held out his hand and grabbed the rope, letting Erika go first.
Erika was still lost in thought, her mind wandering far away, thinking about why Agares had saved her.
Wasn’t Agares a cruel and dangerous man to everyone? Wasn’t it that which made him a threat to the Great Empire?
Her thoughts were in turmoil, her head shaking in disbelief at what was happening. When everything was completely empty and confusing, Agares tapped Erika on the shoulder to snap her out of it.
"Hey, are you okay?"
