Chapter 62 - truth or not
Nick gulped down the water as if it was the last bit of water in the universe.
"So, who are they, where do they live, and I want everything you know about them," said Marian firmly as she also sat in front of him, looking directly into Nick’s eyes.
Nick put down the cup of water and took a calm breath, after which he raised his shallow voice.
"Actually, the truth is, I don’t know much either," said Nick, also checking Marian for any outburst—but surprisingly, she remained calm.
"Then tell me what you do know," she said.
"It wasn’t that I didn’t want to know more about them. As mysterious people that suddenly appeared out of nowhere, demanding to hire the bloody queen herself, I was curious about their origin too. So I tried to investigate who they were, where they came from, and especially what their intentions were in taking Malv Flower directly.
Aside from making brain declaration potions, Malv Flower isn’t known to do anything special. If it did, those bastards on Malv World would’ve already done it.
My guys did their job and managed to follow their trail, but just when we were about to uncover a few things, all of those under me disappeared. I was left with only one message:
