He who Bends Time

Chapter 57 - a servant wants to go outside

Time passed for a few days. At first, the mansion of the Blessing Crystal was peaceful for everyone staying in it, all of them resting to their heart’s content. But as time went on, they gradually started to come out of their rooms. In a corridor of the mansion, leading to a balcony that overlooked the vast interior, Henry stood gazing at the peaceful horizon of the Blessing Crystals. The environment inside the Blessing Crystal was truly one of a kind.

At first, before anyone was officially permitted to enter the crystal without the approval of the two crystal golems, all they could see was the plain sight of the crystal spreading across the entire area. Although it was still magical—being one of the grandest nations modeled within this structure—the repetitive sight of just crystal could eventually grow dull and tiring if it was the only thing one ever saw.

But once someone had gained the golems’ permission, that’s when the true environment of the Blessing Crystal was revealed.

It was like paradise. The plants and trees growing inside the Blessing Crystal never showed any signs of illness or decay. They continued to thrive in full bloom, creating a healthy and magical environment. Even just a glimpse of that scenery was enough to calm a restless mind.

While Henry was admiring this beautiful sight, he heard a soft noise behind him. Turning around, he saw that it was Marian, carrying a few items that Henry didn’t expect to see.

"Oh, Henry! Good morning," she greeted him first upon noticing him.

"Mmm, are those nails? And what’s that weird thing with the balls?" Henry asked, pointing at the items in her hands.

"You don’t need to be concerned about that," she replied casually. "These are for Nick. He still has a few things he needs to tell me—and I don’t think he’ll be talking properly unless he goes through a few... ’things’ first."
