Chapter 47 - to death with all
From the edge of the spiral hole, looking down at the glowing spiral below, Marian pondered.
"Is there any place we could rest? Not just me, but it seems Auran is really exhausted," said Henry as he came closer.
Behind him stood Octo, who helped Auran stand up again.
"That’s true. I really need to find a place to settle down," said Auran, who managed to regain his balance after a moment of weakness.
"As the Bloody Queen of this place, I definitely have more than enough places to welcome you as my guests. You see that?" she said as she pointed to the deepest part of the hole.
"That’s the sixth and final level of this hole—and it’s where the Bloody Arena is. That thing you see like an empty stage is the actual arena, but it’s only used when two of the most powerful figures fight. Usually, the other fights happen on the upper floors like those," she said as she shifted her hand to point at the circular floors that gradually expanded upward.
"There are a total of five floors, excluding the lowest one. To reach the sixth floor and fight in the main Bloody Arena, one must first defeat the gate fighter on each circle," she explained.
"For a fighting arena, this place looks more like a luxurious tavern," said Nimuk from the side, observing the beauty and wealth of each circular floor as far as he could see.
"It’s not surprising. Although you might not know, the Bloody Arena is a pretty famous place. People from all over the worlds come here to hire warriors as mercenaries. The number of those incoming people is unimaginable, which also makes the amount of money earned by those offering services on each circle filthy rich.
As a result, the surroundings changed, and each circle became more luxurious—each with its own uniqueness thanks to the wealth they generate," Marian explained further.
"So... where is your house?" asked Auran, somewhat uninterested in the other subjects she was explaining.
