Wizard Starts Farming With Mini Skeletons

Chapter 128

After running for quite a distance, Clayton finally turned around to see what had actually happened. But when he looked out over the sea, the water appeared calm—there was no sign of anything unusual. That confirmed it: the problem hadn’t come from the ocean.

He scanned the surroundings and eventually spotted smoke rising in the west, far from where he stood. Clayton wondered if the commotion had finally broken out among the crowd near the gate. He hesitated—should he approach, or avoid the place entirely?

Unable to decide, he stalled by pretending to forage nearby. Yet, he found nothing of value. Even after swimming close to shore in hopes of catching fish, he came up empty-handed. The creatures he encountered were either zero-star monsters or not magical beasts at all. Some had barely any meat, lacked magical energy, or were simply poisonous and full of bones.

After delaying until almost noon, Clayton couldn’t take it anymore and decided to leave. He mounted his flying broom and soared over the sea.

Once in the air, his mood began to lift for the first time in a while. But just as he was starting to enjoy himself, the water beneath him suddenly darkened.

Swoosh!

Out of nowhere, a massive jaw—resembling that of a crocodile—lunged toward him!

Sensing danger, Clayton poured more energy into his broom, shooting higher into the sky.

He managed to dodge just in time and finally saw the monstrous creature clearly—an odd, fish-like beast with crocodile jaws and glimmering rainbow-colored scales that shimmered under the sunlight.

Since he was airborne with no foothold, Clayton figured the creature couldn’t reach him anymore. He just had to keep dodging its attacks. But just as he started to feel safe, a water arrow suddenly shot toward him!

Clayton panicked and tried to evade it, but the attack was too fast—it grazed him. Fortunately, his magic armor held up well and he wasn’t injured. Still, the impact threw off his balance, and he nearly fell from the sky.

From the corner of his eye, he saw the creature readying another shot. If he didn’t act fast, he’d be knocked out of the sky for real.
