Chapter 106
"I don’t know. They tried to force their way into my house and attacked me."
Another nod. "Alright. Start from the beginning and explain everything."
Clayton recounted the entire incident, highlighting how his mini skeletons had defended him and how recklessly the intruders had behaved—ultimately harming themselves.
The officer listened in silence, taking notes without expression.
When Clayton finished, the group briefly examined the bodies on the scene. Their findings confirmed everything Clayton had said—the physical evidence matched his account exactly.
Then one officer returned and asked,"Did you use any spells that involved strangulation? Did you choke either of the victims?"
Clayton shook his head. "No," he said truthfully.
The officer nodded again—but Clayton froze. Something about that question triggered a memory.
"Strangulation...?" he muttered under his breath.
The officer raised an eyebrow but didn’t press. He moved on with the interview, and Clayton, still rattled, answered the next few questions with less confidence. The officer chalked it up to nerves.
Before leaving, the officers gave Clayton a summary of the current situation.
