"Do you mean, had lots of boyfriends or slept with a different guy every weekend?"
"Um, I meant the first, but I’m also curious about the second. Would you consider her dirty, sullied, damaged goods?"
"Ah, okay. So, no to your last question. The idea that anyone could be dirty, sullied, or damaged goods is just bullshit. Whether she’s slept with one or one hundred, the number itself doesn’t matter. What might concern me are her reasons for sleeping with that many guys.
"If she was sleeping with a different guy every weekend, I would assume she only wants casual sex and isn’t interested in a serious relationship. In that case, my only concern would be the increased risk of STDs. If it’s okay for guys to sleep around, it’s okay for girls to do the same. I won’t judge her, but I also probably won’t sleep with her. I’m not interested in being yet another notch on her belt.
"If she’s had a lot of boyfriends, I might be concerned that she doesn’t know what she wants, or is just an unpleasant person and keeps getting dumped. But if it was just a phase, then it wouldn’t bother me. Besides, it’s hard to say how many is too many. It would really depend on the circumstances. At worst, I’d take longer to get to know her before making a decision."
"So, if she said she had a phase where she slept with a bunch of guys because she thought it would make her happy, but it didn’t, so she stopped and got therapy, you wouldn’t judge?"
Ah, she’s talking about herself. Her mention of therapy made it obvious. She’d probably slept around in high-school and was worried he’d rejected her if he found out.
"No Analise, we all do things we later regret. As long as she’s clean, and by that I mean no STDs, then it’s fine."
"So, what would you consider a lot? At what point does it go from a normal amount of boy friends to an abnormal amount of boyfriends?"
