4.14: Secret plans
As the trio of Demonspawn women shuffled through the crowd towards me, I waited and watched as everyone slowly filed out of the room towards their assigned destinations. Emelia gave me a light kiss on the lips followed by a well-deserved forehead smooch, before she too moved to exit the room. Once everyone else had departed and my chosen helpers were standing before me, I turned to them and gave them a conspiratorial grin.
“We’ll wait for just a bit longer to talk. Don’t want anyone overhearing anything since the walls definitely have ears. In the mean time, I want to take this time to really thank all three of you. I know you all helped out Kyra and Ash with running the crafting portion of everything, but I was told you also helped keep order with the main horde of participants, and then you all were amongst some of the last survivors of Gehenna’s survival challenge. Needless to say… I am extremely impressed with the three of you.”
All three of them beamed at me with pride and were all practically glowing from my praise. I opened my Minion Menu and saw that Hana and Gehenna had exited the castle, and then quickly closed the menu.
“Perfect! Hana and Gehenna have left the castle. Now we can discuss what I really called the three of you over here for.”
They gave me confused looks but I could still see the excitement about being included in something so secretive.
“Cassie, Noelle told me that you actually work with your mother as a wedding planner, is that correct?”
Cassie’s face flushed scarlet as I focused my attention entirely on her, but she still managed to nod.
“Awesome. How would you feel about coming up with some ideas for a really special wedding? Namely… My wedding to all of my demon wives.”
Before the extremely petite ebony woman could respond, however, Abby let out an amused chuckle and stuck her tongue out at me.
“How many wives are you up to now, oh great and powerful Overlord? Have you reached double digits yet?”
Cassie and Bri looked absolutely horrified by Abby’s words, but I couldn’t help laughing softly at her antics.
“Only up to four, thank you very much. For now. Who knows… the day’s still young. There’s always time to add three more...”
I flashed Abby a predatory grin that showed off my upper and lower fangs, and channeled a small bit of MP into my vision to really make my demonic red eyes glow even more. All three women’s eyes went as wide as saucers, and I watched with deep satisfaction as a bright red blush began to spread up Abby’s neck, quickly engulfing her face all the way to the tips of her slightly pointed ears. I could easily see the three of them responding to my obvious flirting, as their pupils began to dilate, and with my enhanced hearing I could hear how rapidly their hearts were beating. I debated on pushing the flirting just a bit more… before I realized I was simply distracting myself from getting started on everything that I had planned.
“For now, Cassie, let’s just plan for four people, but leave it open ended enough to fit anyone else in, should the need arise. I am giving you full creative license to go above and beyond. You will be given access to the clan funds to cover any and all expenses, and you are allowed to recruit anyone besides my partners to help you, as long as they can keep their mouths shut about what you’re up to.. Hana tells me that my throne room still somehow blocks her from seeing or hearing anything inside, so please use that location for all the planning so that Hana can’t accidentally overhear anything.”
I paused for a moment to let the tiny woman fully process everything I was saying, and when she glanced up from the menu screen she had been hastily taking notes on, I saw a look of excited determination on her face.
“If you don’t mind, Allie, I’d really like Abby to help me. She’s actually helped me and my mom out a few times… if that’s OK with you, obviously.”
I nodded happily and turned so that I was facing both Cassie and Abby.
“Do you need anything to get started?”
Cassie opened her menu and flicked through several screens before looking back up at me. She pursed her lips slightly and tapped her nose a few times in obvious concentration. After a moment, a notification popped up on my screen and I saw that it was from Cassie.
“I sent you a list of things I think I’ll need. I’m gonna be honest… there is so much stuff in this game that I think would make for an absolutely amazing wedding… I was even showing some of the stuff I saw in one of the towns to my mom for some ideas we could incorporate into a real life wedding. But… I’m gonna warn you right now, Allexus, a lot of that stuff isn’t going to be cheap. It will likely require some really high end stuff, and even more high end enchantments. Without getting Hana involved I will have to find someone else to do the enchanting. B-b-but that’s not saying I can’t do it! I promise it will be r-really really amazing.”
I gave her a massive smile and opened my inventory. I pulled out a rolled up scroll, and handed it to a very excited looking Cassie.
“That will give you access to clan funds. It will also allow you to submit requests directly to me for stuff you might need. Before I send you and Abby off to get started, I want to take this time to say that I’m really glad Noelle got you three to join us. You’ve already proven yourselves to me time and time again… so… after I get this blood thing figured out and get all the Angelspawn players into the clan successfully, you three will have first dibs on becoming full demons. Whether that is through some method in the game, through whatever comes from the experiments with my blood, or… the really fun way…”
I gave them all another suggestive smile to really let what I was saying sink in, and I had to stop myself from taking too much delight in the look of shocked arousal on the three of their faces. Before I could let their thoughts drift too far off topic, I sighed happily and took a single step back.
“Alrighty… Cassie, do you or Abby need anything else before I head off to tend to some other stuff with Bri?”
Cassie shyly shook her head, and I gave her an affirming nod before turning to my remaining helper. I watched Cassie and Abby talking excitedly as they walked towards the exit to the room, and I distinctly heard the taller of the two mutter something about ‘taking her from behind.’ I felt a blush start to form on my cheeks, but my demonic instincts immediately pushed the feeling of embarrassment aside and instead I felt a bloom of pride forming in my chest. I fixed my gaze on Bri and motioned with head for both of us to start slowly walking towards the exit as well. She quickly caught on, and moved to walk beside me.
“Alrighty Bri… let’s start to head towards Kyra’s forge area. Hana told me she helped Kyra set up a huge room that was for all the crafters to share, but I have yet to see it. When we get close, I need you to run ahead and let everyone, especially Jade and Tifa, know that I’m on my way. I’m hoping they only need to take some blood or something and I can leave, cause I really don’t want to put any more stress on Jade than I already have to. Once everyone tells you they’re ready, come back to me and I’ll head in. Sound good?”
Bri carefully considered everything I had said before nodding her head slowly. She was just about to turn to start walking again when she suddenly stepped closer to me. I thought she was going to whisper something in my ear, when she surprised me by kissing my cheek softly and quickly moving away before I had the chance to respond. I was so caught off-guard by her actions that I stood for what felt like a full minute with my mouth hanging open in surprise. After recovering slightly, I did my best to focus on what I needed to get done instead of letting the lewd images flitting through my mind convince me to find an outlet for this sudden onset of sexual tension.
