Chapter 288: Disoriented
Heiren’s heart dropped to his stomach when Coco suddenly lurched forward, her face pale and cold sweat on her skin.
"Coco?!" He called out, dropping the basket where all the sandwich was placed and gave it to Quizen, and jumped forward, his hands shooting out to touch Coco’s face.
The carriage they were in had successfully entered the transportation port that will be teleporting towards the main city’s and the Jire Forest’s border, but as soon as the magic stones did their magic, Coco collapsed.
Coco’s appearance was disheveled, her complexion was pale, her skin covered in a thin sheen of sweat— there were faint traces of tears in the corners of her eyes with her breathing labored, as if she had just run a marathon.
The pain of the initial teleportation had left her shaken, very much so, her body trembling slightly as the aftershocks of the experience washed over her.
Sweat had gathered on her forehead, her skin clammy and cold to the touch, her hair was disheveled, sticking to her skin in damp clumps, and there was this slight daze in her eyes, her gaze still slightly unfocused as she continued to recover from the disorientation of the experience.
However, her emerald irises are currently on Heiren’s chocolatey ones, slightly mesmerized at how beautiful they look right now.
Staring at the second husband’s eyes helped her recover faster, but she could still feel the dull ache pulsing in her temple so she still doesn’t have the ability to speak— not that she wants to.
"You’re okay." Heiren murmured and reached up with his sleeve, gently wiping the sweat from Coco’s face, his long sleeve moving tenderly over her skin.
"Focus on me." Heiren said and continued on dabbing his sleeve on her cheek, "Good, that’s good— just look at me, focus on me, okay? Just stare at me and don’t make any sudden move."
