Chapter 186: Dinner with Jonathan [2]
"Are you sure you’re okay with just bread and juice?" Coco asked, her eyes glued to the food in Jonathan’s hand.
The loaf of bread was simple in its appearance, its surface a smooth and golden-brown color— the smell of fresh baked bread filled the air, the scent of yeast and carbs wafting towards the mediator.
Several fried eggs were placed in front of him, their yolks bright yellow against the backdrop of the white.
The eggs were fried perfectly, the edges of the eggs golden and crisp, while the yolks remained soft and runny, and they were steaming, their surface bumpy and uneven, and their color a deep yellow shade.
The crust of the bread was crispy and craggy, the texture offering a slight resistance as her fingers sank into the soft flesh of the bread.
Coco had ordered him several eggs and a loaf of bread so he could make an egg sandwich if he wished to.
However, he thinks that she went overboard.
"Yeah, yeah, I’m completely okay with just bread and juice. You didn’t have to order eggs." Jonathan laughed nervously as he took a bite from the bread, chewing the piece so he wouldn’t have to talk to Coco.
He made an excuse right on the spot to stop Coco from telling him that he’s adorable, cute, beautiful, or whatnot.
