Chapter 167: A magical teddy egg
Coco walked through the village, her footsteps soft in the quiet night.
The streets were already dark and almost abandoned the only light coming from a few scattered lamps, their light fluttering in the cool night air.
The houses were mostly silent, some of the people of the village were already asleep in their beds.
Coco’s footsteps were soft against the hard ground beneath, the only sound outside the occasional hoot of an owl, the rustling of a nocturnal creature, the whispers of the villagers, or the creaking of doors shut.
It was quiet and peaceful outside, the sound of the night birds providing a soothing soundtrack to the night.
The sky was a deep black, the stars twinkling in the expanse of inky darkness with the air being cool and crisp, the chill of the night giving Coco an unexpected goosebumps.
Despite the chillness and silence of the night, Coco was huffing and still feeling frustrated.
Her expression was one of upset and distress, the recent argument with the forth husband she had still fresh in her mind.
She walked through the town, her steps quick and almost angry, her thoughts swirling in the back of her head.
The image of her husband’s face, contorted with anger while spouting unbacked accusations was still vivid in her mind, his words biting and harsh— undoubtedly aiming to agitate her.
Even though the beauty of the night was mesmerizing, she couldn’t shake the feeling of hurt and disappointment.
