Chapter 1848 - 1847: No Entry for Men or Turtles?
The Little Turtle looked wronged as it vigorously shook its head. It thought for a moment and then stretched out its paw to point at the light circle ahead, gesturing frantically.
"You mean, when you came over last time, this light circle wasn't here?" Su Yang asked.
The Little Turtle shook its head again, making more gestures.
Su Yang stared for a while, uncertainly asking: "You mean the light circle wasn't this bright?"
The Little Turtle finally nodded, and Su Yang looked at the light circle, finally understanding what was happening. It seemed that the last time the Little Turtle came here, the power of the light circle hadn't been so strong, allowing the Little Turtle to pass through.
But now, the power of the light circle had clearly intensified, leading to this outcome.
"How did Qi'er get in?" Su Yang asked in surprise.
The Little Turtle shook its head, looking aggrieved, and tried once more to enter. However, the harder it pushed, the further it was repelled back, unable to pass through the light circle.
Su Yang also tried, only to find that the power of this light circle was not something he could shake. Therefore, trying to enter was simply impossible for him!
Seeing this, Qi'er walked out again, saying: "Brother Su, let me try entering once more. Follow right behind me and let's see what happens!"
Su Yang nodded; there was no other choice now. He picked up the Little Turtle and followed closely behind Qi'er, even stepping precisely in her footsteps.
The result was the same as before. Qi'er passed through the light circle unhindered, while Su Yang and the Little Turtle, upon approaching, were blocked by an invisible force, unable to pass.
"Why is it like this?" Su Yang couldn't help but ask, feeling discriminated against.
Could only women get in? Men and turtles not allowed?
"So strange!" Qi'er was also bewildered, unable to understand what was happening.
Qi'er stepped out and reentered the light circle, still facing no obstruction.
Su Yang observed Qi'er as she went in and out of the light circle, but after watching her repeat it a dozen times, he found no clues. No matter what method he used or how he mimicked Qi'er, the outcome was always the same — he was blocked at the light circle, unable to enter.
Su Yang felt resigned, unable to comprehend why this was happening.
He still wanted to enter the palace to investigate the situation of the Feather Spirit Palace. If possible, he'd try to find a way to leave the Feather Spirit Palace. However, without being able to enter, he couldn't think about anything else.
After trying for a long time without success, Su Yang had no choice but to give up. He looked at the Little Turtle, frowning and asking: "You said there was a person here earlier, where are they now?"
The Little Turtle looked bewildered, pointing towards the area near the city wall and gesturing, indicating that it had encountered the person there. But now, that area was empty, with nothing there.
"Were you messing with me?" Su Yang couldn't help but ask.
The Little Turtle, angered by Su Yang's words, immediately gestured frantically, insisting that it was not lying.
Watching the Little Turtle's agitated response, Su Yang was speechless. He knew the Little Turtle would not deceive him. But why was this happening?
Unable to get in and unable to find this person, Su Yang decided to circle around the city, hoping to find another entrance. If he couldn't find an entrance, finding the person would work, too.
The city's expanse was enormous. It took Su Yang and his group an entire day to circle only half of it. The other half was embedded in the mountain, making it impossible for Su Yang to explore further.
After this tour, Su Yang finally gained a more intuitive understanding of the city. Half of it was exposed, while the other half was embedded within the mountain. But that didn't make sense. If that were true, such a large palace crashing into the mountain would have caused a collapse, not remain standing like this.

Whereas Qi'er could enter and exit unhindered, no matter the location.

During this time, Qi'er suggested to Su Yang that since she could enter, she could explore deeper inside the palace.
But Su Yang rejected Qi'er's suggestion.
