Chapter 1819 - 1818: We're Not the Only Group
The Divine Master uses the Turquoise Pool's Immortal Array to trap all these Winged Cultivators within.
Celestial phenomena descend from the sky, with torrential rain, feather-like snow, endless lightning, and hail resembling ice spikes, all descending chaotically from above. Within this Immortal Array of the Turquoise Pool, these Winged Cultivators are assaulted by such phenomena, leaving none unscathed.
Those who set up the array also stand within this range. Yet, in reality, they are not bothered by these phenomena at all, completely standing outside their influence, as if everything has nothing to do with them.
Trapped by these phenomena, the Winged Cultivators are in extreme panic. As various celestial events unfold, many are injured on the spot—either struck by lightning, frozen by heavy snow, pierced by ice spikes, or inundated by heavy rain.
The power of the phenomena is strong, and even though these Winged Cultivators are Land Immortals, some were instantly killed on the spot.
Shariel is also in the midst of these phenomena, situated particularly in the realm of lightning. Moreover, as he flies in the air, he attracts numerous bolts of lightning, dozens of which strike him, causing Shariel to let out furious roars.
After these dozens of bolts dissipate, Shariel descends from the sky somewhat embarrassed. However, his face shows no trace of anger or panic, but rather sheer delight.
"Everyone, do not worry; the power of these phenomena is not so strong!" Shariel hurriedly shouts, "Our strength is enough to withstand these phenomena. Their power is weaker than those above the valley!"
After enduring the previous lightning assault, Shariel has gained a rough understanding of the exact power of these phenomena, immediately discerning their potency.
And the people on site, having been baptized by the phenomena, also now comprehend their power. The initial panic among them dissipates as they concentrate fully on countering the phenomena descending from the sky, no longer as flustered as before.
In fact, the current strength of these phenomena, while capable of killing Land Immortals, can be withstood by the Winged Cultivators on site if they defend with all their might, at least preventing them from being slain by the phenomena, which gives rise to hope.
If they were within that valley, the situation would be entirely different. After all, earlier they witnessed with their own eyes how a few among them were instantly killed upon entering the valley.
This shows that although the Divine Master has drawn the valley's phenomena out, the potency of these phenomena is limited. Otherwise, these Winged Cultivators would surely perish amidst them.
The Winged Cultivators take action one after another, resisting the phenomena's assault. Some powerhouses even begin challenging the Tianxiang, attempting to dispel it and halt the phenomena's attack.
However, when they charge forward, they are intercepted by a faint glow. Regardless of their efforts, they cannot break through this layer of light, hence unable to affect the Tianxiang at all.
Shariel charges for a while and then gives up momentarily upon seeing it ineffective. He turns coldly toward the Divine Master standing outside and says, "Is this your so-called array? Huh, this petty trick you think can harm us? Stop these meaningless gestures. Aren't your Huaxia Cultivators known for their pride? Today, let's have a good battle!"
The Divine Master remains unmoved, smiling slightly, "Indeed, these phenomena's power isn't like those in the valley. But it's sufficient to deplete your power. Once depleted, can you still withstand the assault of these phenomena?"
These words cause the Winged Cultivators to be somewhat uneasy. Resisting these phenomena requires consuming power, and indeed, they can't withstand for long with such resistance.
Shariel frowns but quickly relaxes, sneering, "Hmph, we expend power; don't you also consume power? Continuing like this, how long can your arrays last?"
"Sorry, this isn't our power. We're merely borrowing the valley phenomena's power. Hence, our consumption is significantly less than yours!" the Divine Master smiles lightly.
"Oh, really?" Shariel sneers, "But if we break your array, how long can you persist then?"
"You can try!" the Divine Master replies slowly, "Within the array, each person is protected by its power. You simply can't break it!"
"Within the array can't be broken, but outside the array?" Shariel sneers again, "You don't think that those inside the array are all of us, do you?"
The Divine Master's expression instantly changes, his brows furrowing, "What... what do you mean?"
"Hmph, you actually think we're fools!" Shariel shouts, "You attacked us once here and then vanished, even fools would guess that you're setting traps. In such circumstances, if we move together, we're sure to fall into your trap. Hence, prior to action, we've already divided into two groups. We're the first group, and another group is about to arrive. Your array's power indeed trapped us here, but so what? Another batch of us will soon arrive. We're constrained by the array's power here, no doubt unable to break it. But what about attacking from outside?"
The Divine Master clenches his fists in anger, "You... you kept a reserve!"
"Hehe, I already said, don't think we're fools easily tricked by your little moves!" Shariel sneers, "Don't forget, we're Feather Clan descendants; a higher race compared to your Human Clan. Your minor tricks are useless against us!"
The Divine Master's expression turns extremely sour, gritting his teeth, "Seems I truly underestimated you, was far too careless!"
"Hahaha..." Shariel laughs wildly, "You now realize? I tell you, it's too late. The world has underestimated us; soon, we'll let them know. We, the Feather Clan, are the ultimate race. You Human Clan are ultimately just our slaves!"
The Divine Master takes a deep breath, "But don't rejoice too soon. This array can't be broken from inside or outside. Even if your people arrive, they won't break this array and save you!"
