Chapter 26 - What Bad Luck
"Wh-what—!?" Seleyena, after hearing his words, tripped—barely able to steady herself as her trembling hand reached to fix her clasp. Flustered as she was, she thought she must've misheard. Yet, funnily enough, she had heard it clearly.
Her mind just refused to accept what had been said.
What a woman, Cruxius mused, amused at her flustered reaction. She acted silly while trying to play it off, adjusting her glasses—more like thick, black-framed spectacles—with her delicate fingers.
Her red-lipsticked mouth stood out against her milky white skin.
That awkward silliness only amplified the charm radiating from her recently ravishing body—peach-like curves and smooth lines.
She looked cute to him, especially as his gaze dropped to her plump bust, the way the fabric stretched tight over her breasts, just slightly revealing the embroidered black floral bra beneath, visible between her white doctor's coat and shirt-like top.
"Miss Seleyena, I meant there's pain in my lower region. Can you check it?" Cruxius tilted his head, stretching his hand and pointing directly at his crotch, wincing slightly as his eyes locked with hers—then flicked to her hand.
He imagined how those fingers—delicate, trained, precise from years of surgery—would feel over him.
"Wh-what? But I'm a gynecologist, how can I—" Seleyena stumbled, finally registering what he truly meant. She flushed again, waving both hands as if to physically push the misunderstanding away. "I'm not specialized in that area—!"
But she was cut off.
"Oh, I forgot... I'm a man, unlike Thalia—" Cruxius interjected, his voice dipping into a wounded calm as he placed a hand over his face, half-defeated, peeking through his fingers just to catch her expression.
