After Yu Jingting finished his chat with his father-in-law, he entered to see Suizi sitting on the bed with a determined look.
"Are you awake? Would you like a drink?"
"I want to...talk with you." Suizi mustered her courage, but she still dared not look him in the eyes.
Every look at him, all she sees is the image of him bending down to kiss her.
"You can’t say those weird things to me or do weird things. If you keep going on like this, I’ll go to my mother."
"What do you mean by ’weird’?"
"Just, like that, and also that..." Suizi’s face started to flush again.
What seemed like flirtatious gibberish to Jingting, was to her a seismic event. The girl hadn’t even held hands with anyone before—or at least, she thought she hadn’t. Suddenly getting kissed by him was too much of a shock.
"Got it. I won’t do that." Yu Jingting agreed readily but added to himself, he could always proceed silently.
This little girl, too shy to speak honestly, gives manipulative men plenty of room for maneuver.
Suizi breathed a small sigh of relief and took a careful look at him. Finding he wasn’t angry, and indeed seemed pleased, she gathered more courage to make her requests.
