When they reached the hospital, Suizi was already asleep. Her fever was persistent, so the doctor had to give her an injection to lower it.
Yu Jingting held her, watching her crying like a child from the pain of the injection. She was hazy and kept crying out in pain in his arms, making the nurses laugh.
"Why is she still acting like a child even at this age?"
"In my heart, she can always be a child," Yu Jingting responded earnestly.
The single nurses suddenly felt a bit depressed, wondering why they couldn’t find such a good man for themselves.
Soon after the injection, Suizi’s temperature fell. The doctors said it was a heat stroke and gave her some refreshing medicine. Despite their suggestions, she refused to be hospitalized.
Yu Jingting had no choice but to wait with her in the Observation Room until her temperature dropped completely and then they would go home.
Suizi woke up soon after her fever broke. Her memory was fragmented, and all she remembered was crying in his arms, saying she didn’t want the injection.
She covered her face with her hand, wondering why a person couldn’t control their behavior when they were ill. It was so embarrassing.
"Your husband is truly considerate. All the nurses in our department were practically in awe of him," a passing senior nurse stopped to comment, laughing.
Suizi kept her hand on her face, feeling like her IQ dropped to that of a child each time she had a fever.
