Upon hearing Suizi ask about Jingting’s exam results, the Second Aunt interjects before Mr. Zhen could reply.
"Did he score a 10 or a 20? Ha, if he scored over 100, I would—"
"I’ll have you licking clean the cow dung at the village entrance!" Suizi interrupted with a classic Jingting quote.
"No way that’s going to be enough for her to feast on." Jingting chuckled.
"You’re not afraid of blowing the roof off with your big mouth, are you guys? Impossible for you to do well on the exams!" The second aunt was bitter upon hearing Suizi’s top-notch scores and hoped to find some consolation from Jingting’s performance.
"Xiaoyu actually did quite well, scoring 520 points, placing him within the top 20 in our province. Aim high for your preferred universities, getting into Qingbei University is a safe bet."
The total marks are 620. I’m not sure about the Qingbei cut-off score this year, but looking at last year’s score, it won’t exceed 500. With scores as high as Jingting’s, his admission is assured.
Suizi heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing his score, and a smile finally emerged on her angry little face.
"Off you go, the dung at the village entrance is calling for you. Don’t worry about overeating, I’ll prepare some laxatives for you." Jingting replied to the pair full of concern.
