Chapter 503: The Ruthless Trio
Suizi and Yu Jingting stepped in, and Mr. Shen stood up from his chair.
"Director Xiaochen, I’ve been looking forward to your arrival. It’s been a while, I’ve missed you."
His greaseball attitude made Suizi feel uncomfortable all over.
"Yes, it’s been some days. Just yesterday, while talking with my husband, I said I hoped for happiness for your entire family, for fatherly benevolence, filial piety, and good health." Suizi responded with equal sarcasm.
Both sides shook hands, their laughter fostering an atmosphere of friendliness.
But what they were jabbering at each other internally after ending the handshake was anyone’s guess.
Mr. Shen played the part of a warm host, babbling a whole lot of irrelevant nonsense before getting to the point.
"My daughter is still young and naive, lacks tact, and has caused you trouble. I plan to transfer her, let her gain some more seasoning in another environment. We should not let this sour the relationship between our two families."
These words would sound like a sincere apology to anyone ignorant of the feud between the two families.
Suizi knew, Mr. Shen was wary of Fan Huang, fearful of offending people. He’d thrown this curveball to avoid addressing it directly. Instead, she asked a question for which she already knew the answer.
"Other things aside, Your daughter and her aunt have taken in a child named Jin Wa, who presently lives in my house. What do you think of this?"
