Chapter 479: Solving the Case with the Trend
Wang Cuihua was already boiling with anger after hearing the first part. When she heard the rest, she couldn’t tolerate it anymore. She snatched up a knitting needle and started hitting Wu’s mother in the face.
After hitting her three times, Wang Cuihua finally let go.
"Oh, I’m sorry, I was too angry, look what I did. I mistook you for her." Wang Cuihua said.
Wu’s mother’s face was stinging from the slaps. She wanted to curse back but decided to play it cool in order to stir up more conflict.
"It’s okay, it doesn’t really matter if you hit me. But I feel terrible for you. How many mother-in-laws would go as far as you did for her? You treat her like your own, even spoil her children. Isn’t there anything you haven’t given her?"
These divisive words would resonate immensely with any mother-in-law.
It was indeed mean spirited.
Once the spark is ignited, it could easily turn into a raging fire.
"Are you sure it was her who said this?" Wang Cuihua asked through her gritted teeth.
"Absolutely. If it wasn’t her, then may God strike me with lightning!" Wu’s mother even dared to swear on this.
"When I heard that, I felt so upset for you. I wanted to tell you a few times, but I didn’t want to ruin the relationship between the two of you and cause trouble in your family. But it’s so unfair to see you working your life out for her every day without saying anything."
